"Shannon At The Beach" - Pastel on Paper

This is my daughter at age 3 taken from a photograph. It was a typical day at the beach - lots of sun, fun, and sand. Because the photo was taken in the shade, I tried to warm up the feeling of hot sun bearing down on her. This is one of my favorite paintings.

What a beautiful child! She must be absolutely stunning now.. oh.. wait a minute.. she is! And obviously her mother raised her with great self esteem, too!
